Advertisement for Engagement of State Coordinating Officers by under NDMA supported project, ‘M 8.7 Shillong 1897 Earthquake Scenario: NE Multi-State Exercise and Preparedness Campaign’
For coordination of efforts, CSIR-NEIST intends to recruit State Coordinating Officer in each of the eight NE States on purely contractual basis and one Senior Coordinator for interState coordination totaling to 9 persons for a period of 12 months with effect from……. . Brief of the advertisement is given as below.
Name and no. of the Posts : (i) State Coordinating Officer (SCO) – 8 nos. (One post for each NE State)
(ii) Senior Coordinating Officer – 1 no. (Inter-state coordination)
Status : Purely contractual and appointment will be coterminus with the project.
Duration : 12 months
Place of appointment : NE State Capitals, attached to SDMAs
Qualification: Essential : Graduate/post graduates in Geology, Seismology, Engineering, Architecture Town Planning, MSW, Disaster Management or in related field.
Qualification: Desirable : Computer Application (MS Office Word & Excel etc.) Candidates having work experience in Disaster Management works of State Governmentwill get preference.
Salary : Fixed remuneration of Rs. 40,000/- per month. TA/DA as applicable for office duty
Job requirement : (1). Coordination between State Disaster Management Authority and the CSIR-NEIST Regional Project Office, Guwahati, Assam
(2). Facilitate organization of meetings, workshops, awareness generation campaign within the State, collect field information and data relating to earthquake scenario project development
Age limit (as on 1st Sept 2013) : Candidates should not be below 27 years of Age as on 1st Sept 2013. However, age limit will be relaxed in case of experienced candidates with sound physical health.
