Applications are invited for JRF/SRF position(s) to work on an India Alliance grant on Auditory
Processing. The applicants must be highly motivated towards research in Neuroscience and must
possess a great deal of interest in computational aspects of neuronal processing. The research
work to be performed by the selected candidate(s) will involve one or more of the following:
neurophysiology, neuroanatomy and computation. Further selected candidates are expected to
apply to the PhD program in Neuroscience at NBRC.
Title of the Project : Connectivity and role of inhibitory neurons in auditory perception
Number of Vacancies: 1 (JRF / SRF)(The vacancies number may vary)
Essential Qualification: For JRF: Masters degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Neuroscience or any related subject, OR 4-years Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or B.Stat.(from Indian Statistical Institute).
For SRF: Same as JRF + 2 Years Post Qualification Experience
Desirable requirements: Preference will be given to candidates with previous research experience especially in electrophysiology and neuroanatomy.

Emoluments:
For JRF: ` 16,000/- per month (consolidated)
For SRF: ` 18,000/- per month (consolidated)
